OGC Names Christopher Sweet Director of Client and Attorney Success

Law firm and legal ops leader brings decades of experience to new position

BOSTON – DECEMBER 7, 2023 – OGC, a law firm of veteran attorneys who augment in-house legal teams and provide early-stage companies with a business-first approach to lawyering, announces today that Christopher Sweet has been named to the newly created position of Director of Client and Attorney Success. This position will further empower OGC to balance value and quality in its work while passing efficiency gains on to clients.

A pioneering and leading voice in legal operations, Chris has exceptional credentials as a lawyer, project manager and data expert, having worked in legal departments and law firms since the Great Recession disrupted the legal services delivery landscape. “Client value services, process improvement, project management, and practice technologies and analytics are now must-haves for law firms and legal departments of all sizes,” noted Chris. Prior to joining OGC, Chris was the chief operating officer at a national law firm specializing in financial services and commercial litigation. His career includes serving as an executive director at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the role of global head of outside counsel value management. He also helped pioneer legal project management at an Am Law 50 firm and began his legal operations journey in the legal department at GSK, a recognized trailblazer in outside counsel spend management.

Chris’ unique background in both global legal department operations and law firm practice management ideally positions him for this new role, where he will advocate for clients and work with OGC partners to ensure the highest levels of engagement and satisfaction, while incorporating best-in-class efficiencies and processes.

“It’s an exciting time to join OGC, since we are literally defining a new role in the legal ecosystem, one that I would have found useful when I was in-house,” said Chris. “I can’t think of a better opportunity to bring my skills to bear in such a game changing way than by helping OGC become the nation’s leader in providing business-minded general counsel services.”

Chris earned his law degree at Widener University in Delaware and is licensed in Pennsylvania. He also holds a Master of Science degree in information systems from Drexel University. A long-time resident of Bucks County, Pa., he served in the United States Army Infantry and later in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
