Matthew Snyder joined Outside GC in 2021, bringing over 10 years of experience as an attorney in the life sciences industry. Matt works with companies of all sizes, from start-ups to public companies, handling a wide range of legal matters, including licensing and contracts; clinical trials; pharmaceutical manufacturing and development; data privacy; and Institutional Review Board (IRB) compliance and government regulation.
Matt's broad range of experience as in-house counsel started in an international IRB and continued in biotech start-ups and in a global biotech industry leader. Matt handled a myriad of regulatory and operational legal issues for Genentech/Roche, and for Arivale, a start-up genomic testing company focused on DTC and genetic research. Matt joined the life sciences sector after serving in the U.S. Senate as a staffer and as a state prosecutor.
Matt is admitted to practice in Washington DC, and Washington State. He obtained his J.D. from the Catholic University of America (Washington DC) and he earned his B.A. from the University of Delaware.
When Matt is not providing legal advice, he enjoys trips to wine country with his family and dogs and training for his next Ironman event.
