John focuses his practice on commercial contracts of all types, including clinical trials (both drug and device); promotional review; government regulation and compliance; data privacy; and intellectual property.

Prior to joining Outside GC in 2021, John ran his own successful law practice for nearly ten years, working with life sciences companies of all sizes, from start-ups to global public companies, handling a wide range of legal matters. John’s pharmaceutical company clients included VivoQuest, TAXIS Pharmaceuticals, Iroko Pharmaceuticals, Indivior PLC, Sunovion Pharmaceuticals and Lifeblood Medical, where he also served as a member of the Board of Directors.

In addition to working with corporate clients, John has a great deal of experience counseling academic/research institutions, including Boston Children’s Hospital – where he supported the Hospital with respect to clinical trials for a number of years - and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

He enjoys watching his grandchildren play soccer most weekends, who are involved in local, regional, and national youth development programs, in addition to spending his leisure time traveling with his wife.
