Greg serves as outside general counsel and advisor to early stage and emerging growth companies in the digital media and entertainment, mobile advertising, software and technology industries, assisting and advising such companies from startup to sale, including formation, corporate, commercial/transactional matters, IP, compliance, seed and venture capital financing, and mergers & acquisitions. He has worked with several startups that have achieved successful exits through acquisitions by larger companies, including Apple, Autodesk, Facebook, FanDuel, Google, Opera Software, Sony Interactive and Unity.
Greg possesses extensive experience in the interactive entertainment industry, having worked as an attorney in the industry for nearly 20 years and represented many of the world’s preeminent interactive companies, including game developers and publishers, content creators and licensors, augmented and virtual reality hardware and software developers, e-sports teams, and content distribution and technology platform companies. He was also formerly General Counsel for Activision, the world’s largest interactive entertainment and gaming company, for many years.
Before moving in-house, Greg worked in private practice as a corporate and technology transactional attorney for several prominent California based law firms.
Greg holds a Juris Doctor (Magna Cum Laude) from Pepperdine University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting concentration) (Summa Cum Laude) from Washington University in St. Louis.
Greg currently lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and two children and enjoys the beach and many other Southern California outdoor activities, as well as traveling to as many different foreign places as possible with his family.
