Laury has been an attorney with Outside GC since 2009. She has over thirty years experience providing advice to both public and private companies on a wide range of sophisticated legal matters including mergers and acquisitions, financings, commercial contract negotiations as well as general business counseling and advice. She brings a pragmatic, goal-oriented approach to her practice and is able to partner effectively with all levels of management to achieve business objectives. She has a diverse client base that includes internet security, SaaS, semiconductor, renewable energy and medical device companies. Her clients include Panviva, Inc., Six Red Marbles, Vesper Technologies, Grand Circle Travel and Brookfield Renewable Energy.
Before joining Outside GC, Laury worked as Corporate Counsel at EMC Corporation (now Dell EMC), a Fortune 500 company providing information infrastructure systems, software and services. While at EMC, Laury worked on a variety of matters, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, investments, real estate, aircraft and commercial transactions. She also was a member of EMC’s multi-disciplinary corporate sustainability team and assisted in the publication of EMC’s sustainability reports. Prior to EMC, Laury was Assistant General Counsel of LTX Corporation (now LTX-Credence), a global provider of focused, cost-optimized solutions for the semiconductor test industry. At LTX, Laury advised senior management on public company governance and regulatory matters and was responsible for SEC reporting compliance. She provided counsel on public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, and also advised business units on commercial, employment, immigration and other day-to-day operational matters. Prior to LTX, she was Associate General Counsel of Advantage Health Corporation (now HealthSouth), a provider of rehabilitation services, where she was responsible for SEC reporting compliance and negotiated and closed mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.
Laury began her legal career as a corporate associate at Peabody & Brown (now Nixon Peabody) and later at Brown Rudnick. Laury received her JD from Boston College Law School, graduating cum laude and her BBA in Economics and Business Administration from Temple University, graduating magna cum laude.
Laury and her husband, Mark, live in Newton and are the parents of two adult children (although it pains her to say that).
