Gina brings over 20 years of experience to Outside GC as employment and benefits counsel to companies ranging in size from startups to the Fortune 100 and across industries. Gina represents employers on a national basis in a wide range of employment and benefits matters and has a proven record of success, effectively counseling clients to address human resource demands and facilitate business objectives. Gina’s clients at Outside GC include Captivate, Purple Carrot, Market Force, Foundry Visionmongers, Media Links, Flex Pharma, Forensic Risk Alliance, Parsley Health and Decibel Insight.
Prior to joining Outside GC, Gina practiced law at Locke Lord, LLP for almost 15 years, where she focused on employment and benefits counseling and litigation. While at Locke Lord, Gina served as de facto in-house employment counsel to clients, handling a variety of legal matters, including drafting policies, plans and agreements; assisting with internal investigations and audits; overseeing third-party relationships and contracts; and selecting and managing outside litigation counsel. Additionally, Gina represented employers in state and federal courts, agencies and arbitration tribunals nationwide, and advised employers with respect to a broad range of employment and benefits concerns. Gina led the ERISA (Employment Retirement Income Security Act) practice of the litigation management group and was also Deputy Chair of Locke Lord’s Counsel Committee. Gina was named repeatedly as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer, Rising Star, and has been a frequent writer and speaker with regards to employment- and benefits-related topics.
Gina’s prior experience as an employment and benefits lawyer includes drafting and conducting training seminars, and helping employers with matters involving commercial, liability, tort, real estate, insurance, and contractual disputes. Gina previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph Rodriguez in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and worked in the press office of former Governor William Weld and for various technology and other businesses in Massachusetts, where she grew up and now lives.
Gina is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Gina received her J.D. from Boston College Law School, and holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science from Boston College.
Gina enjoys spending time with her family, coaching girls’ soccer and basketball, and cheering on Boston sports teams.
