
Mary Hines is the Chief of Staff to the CEO at Briefly, overseeing strategy planning and implementation, cross-functional special projects, and budget planning. Mary is a finance and business operations leader with multiple years of experience across various industries. She is driven by facilitating the vision and priorities of an organization through data-driven analysis and is passionate about building highly collaborative and effective teams.
Mary started her career at Goldman Sachs as an analyst managing daily revenue forecasting and P&L analysis for the $100M+ distressed debt and principal strategic investments desk. Subsequently, Mary worked for Caterpillar Inc, Veritiv, Newell Brands, and Meta, where she owned and/or contributed to the profitability of each company’s P&L and balance sheets, in addition to managing annual and long-range budget planning and executing business strategic initiatives. Prior to joining us, Mary served as a Global Strategy Program Manager for Meta, a role she earned after delivering $40M+ in annual cost savings for the company’s $2B+ Augmented and Virtual Reality segment while managing the product hardware finance and planning function.
Mary received a dual Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Tuskegee University and an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mary is originally from Atlanta, GA and now resides in Seattle, WA. In her free time, Mary enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family (which includes a very curious and fun-spirited 2-year-old).
