Anita Drummond joined Outside GC in 2022, bringing over 20 years of global legal experience on behalf of private and nonprofit organizations. With a focus on delivering collaborative and practical strategic counsel to her clients, Anita regularly handles a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including

Anita also offers support to in-house legal teams in need of mentorship, education, operations support or management of outside counsel relationships. She strives to be a business partner first to her clients, journeying with them to drive big plans, confront risks, minimize costs, improve efficiencies, and maintain governance structures in the face of changing organizational structures.
Prior to joining Outside GC, Anita led the corporate services legal team at The Nature Conservancy, a global non-profit organization serving 40+ countries with 20 related entities, for 10 years. In this role, Anita managed a range of corporate legal needs — from technology and cross border transactions to corporate governance, finance, employment, marketing, and government relations.
Previously, Anita held roles in private practice, government service, and in-house as General Counsel of ChildFund International; Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs for Associated Builders and Contractors; and Assistant General Counsel at the American Cancer Society.
Anita is admitted to practice in the District of Colombia and Virginia. She is a graduate of George Mason University School of Law, where she was also a class speaker at commencement and the chair of Moot Court. Anita also holds a BA in political science from the University of Central Florida.
