Mary Regan has been an attorney with Outside GC since 2007.
Mary brings over 20 years of experience providing legal support primarily to high-tech businesses, but also to life science and other product and service-based businesses. Mary's experience, judgment and perspective have been informed by a wide array of legal roles, as an associate at large and small law firms, as in-house counsel in legal departments of one to one hundred, and as a sole practitioner. With the benefit of this experience, Mary's strengths and interests lie in gaining a solid understanding about her clients' businesses and goals, and providing practical and timely legal and business support to help her clients achieve their goals. Mary's clients at Outside GC include Sparta Systems and Hubspot, Inc.
Before joining Outside GC, Mary served as General Counsel of Switchboard, Inc., an Internet directory company that Mary supported as sole legal counsel and member of the senior management team from its start-up through a public offering. Prior to Switchboard, Mary worked as legal counsel to Banyan Systems, Inc., a networking software company and Switchboard's corporate parent. Mary spent nine years at Digital Equipment Corporation supporting the purchasing, customer services, and sales groups within the company. Mary also served for one year as Special Assistant to the General Counsel of Digital. Mary began her career at the Boston law firms of Ricklefs & Uehlein and Golstein & Manello. Mary graduated magna cum laude from University of Massachusetts at Boston and earned her J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law.
Mary enjoys her practice at Outside GC because it allows her to enjoy the benefits of a near in-house counsel relationship with a small number of valued clients while at the same time exposing her to a variety of companies, technologies and legal issues.
