Jennifer McCabe joined the firm in 2017, having last served as General Counsel, Executive Vice President and Secretary to the Board of Directors of SharkNinja LLC. Jennifer brings expertise in working with both technology start-ups and larger, high-growth companies. As a legal and business leader, she has managed cross-functional operations, developed corporate and legal strategies, mitigated risk and ensured legal compliance on behalf of her clients.
Before joining SharkNinja, Jennifer worked for Ingenix, a subsidiary of the United Health Group, where she provided legal and business advice to senior management on corporate transactions, commercial and government contracts, procurement, compliance and intellectual property matters. Prior to United Health Group, Jennifer served as General Counsel of Arthur D. Little, a 100+ year old business, engineering and environmental, health and safety consulting firm, leading the company’s legal affairs, including pre-IPO ventures, mergers, acquisitions, and successfully managing a global corporate reorganization and debt restructuring.
In addition to her transactional experience, Jennifer has handled day-to-day issues involving advertising, compliance, procurement, product safety, global manufacturing, workplace/labor, tax, licensing, commercial contracts and human resources, as well as litigation and real estate matters. She is a skilled negotiator, having led both domestic and international (China, Canada, Australia, UK and EU) litigation/arbitrations involving contract law, intellectual property enforcement and FTC, EPA, FDA, CPSC and Lanham Act matters.
Jennifer is able to leverage her engineering background when needed to contribute to early-stage product design and lead operational and development initiatives. She is also a registered patent attorney and has managed the intellectual property assets of a $2B worldwide enterprise.
Jennifer received her JD from Suffolk University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and is also a Registered Patent Attorney at the USPTO. Jennifer resides in suburban Boston, MA with her three grown children. Jennifer is an active supporter and volunteer for both the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the T1D Exchange which focus on potential cures for Type 1 diabetes.
