Jennifer has advised technology companies for over ten years.
Prior to joining Outside GC, Jennifer was VP, General Counsel & Secretary
of GetConnected, Inc., a private venture-backed company providing
transaction processing and web hosting services to retailers and service
providers including AOL, Yahoo!, Circuit City, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Dell,
Microsoft, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Qwest and EchoStar. As General Counsel,
Jennifer advised on strategic business matters, commercial contracts,
outsourcing relationships, intellectual property protection,
corporate governance, venture financings, human resources matters and more.
Prior to joining GetConnected, Jennifer was Assistant General Counsel at
Enterasys Networks, Inc., a NYSE-traded global provider of enterprise
network infrastructure solutions, where she provided legal advice with
respect to SEC compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley, corporate governance,
technology licensing, and strategic alliances. Jennifer began her legal
career as an associate with the law firm Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, LLP,
one of the nation's leading technology law firms at that time.
While at Testa, she represented both private and public companies,
venture funds and investment banks and focused on general corporate law,
venture financings, securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and
technology licensing. Her clients included hardware and software developers,
e-commerce companies, telecommunications companies, and an alternative
energy company. Jennifer counseled these clients through all phases of
growth, including leading two clients through successful IPOs.
Jennifer holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School
and a B.S. in Finance, cum laude, from Providence College.
Jennifer also co-chairs the Boston Bar Association's Computer and Internet Law Committee.
