Anna is an accomplished business and employment lawyer with significant experience as in-house counsel and as outside general counsel to large and small companies alike.
Anna joined Outside GC in 2012, after having served as the principal member of her own practice, InHouse Counsel Consultants, for the past 5 years. Anna’s practice at InHouse Counsel Consultants focused on providing general business counsel and employment law services to small businesses and start-up companies, in particular assisting clients with commercial transactions, employment matters, corporate governance, litigation management, and providing general business advice. Her primary client was HCL Expense Management Services Inc, a subsidiary of HCL Technologies, LTD, a multi-billion dollar global technology company headquartered in India.
Before starting InHouse Counsel Consultants, Anna served as Vice President, Legal for Westcon Group, Inc., a global distributor of telecommunications products and solutions; Corporate Counsel at Avaya Inc. and Lucent Technologies Inc., global leaders in the telecommunications industry, and Associate General Counsel of The BISYS Group, Inc., which provided outsourcing solutions to the finance and investment industries. In each of these roles, Anna gained expertise in negotiating and drafting contracts in the telecommunications and finance industries, focusing on customer outsourcing agreements, network solutions agreements, distribution and reseller transactions, software license agreements, product development agreements, IT services agreements, NDAs, and employment agreements. Anna also provided counsel on a variety of employment matters, including creation of employment policies and procedures, employee handbook review, advising on reductions in force, and assisting her clients with preparations for audits by the DOL and OFCCP. Anna assists various non-profit entities, including the Urban League of Essex County, with some of their legal matters.
Anna received her undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University (graduating Magna Cum Laude), and received her law degree from Seton Hall Law School in Newark, New Jersey.
Anna currently resides in West Orange, New Jersey, where she is an active member of her condo association’s various committees. She travels to Rome, Italy every year, where she lived during her high school years, to visit family and friends and to refresh her knowledge of the Italian language.
When not working for clients, Anna spends her free time with her family and friends, and enjoys traveling, and reading good books.
